Giving Back is Second Nature for the Zenith Insurance Services Team
Celebrating its 20th year in business, Zenith Insurance Services has always put its clients, and their clients first.
“Coming from a rural town, the importance of banding together and supporting each other was a value I wanted to inject into Zenith,“ said CEO, Kim Gilbert.
“We’re so passionate about our clients and we’ll take any opportunity to support them outside of their insurance needs.”
Whether it’s hosting their infamous Melbourne Cup event in partnership with Nulsen Group, firing up the barbeque for a community sausage sizzle, riding bicycles with Red Sky Ride, or sleeping out for a night with Vinnies, the Zenith team is always happy to lend a hand.
Just last week, the Zenith team joined forces with Uniting WA for a MasterChef style cooking competition in support of the Uniting WA Tranby Homeless Centre.
As an engagement hub, Tranby provides a safe, supportive environment for West Australians who are in crisis and sleeping rough in and around the Perth CBD. They rely on volunteers and corporate partnerships to deliver essential services.
“The team from Zenith Insurance Services were privileged to share the hands-on experience of supporting the Uniting Church Tranby Engagement Hub, last week”, Kim Gilbert said.
Staff members had just two hours to cook and package nutritious meals to be delivered to the centre where they would be enjoyed by visitors.
“Led by Chef Sophie Budd and using produce from Second Bite, the team created 320 meals for disadvantaged members of our community. It was an extraordinary and humbling experience and demonstrated that with a little effort, everyone can make positive changes in the world.”
Recently, the Zenith office welcomed Poppy from the Leeming SHS Education Support Centre to take part in a Workplace Learning Program, which provides students with a 16-week real-life working experience.
“I look forward to coming to work on a Wednesday morning to see Sarah, Jordyn and Natalie. It has made me feel very important having my own office space and checklist of jobs to complete.”, Poppy said.
“Having this list of jobs has allowed me the independence, confidence, and ability to use my initiative. Over my time here I have also learned to use the computer, I have improved my communication skills in the workplace and have enjoyed progressing in my jobs.”
